Albert Chu is a product design leader in Los Angeles and a Principal Product Designer for marketing automation at VistaPrint, where he earlier built the Growth & Retention design team and led Order Management design. Before VistaPrint he was a founding designer on Amazon Honeycode, Amazon's first no-code app builder. He trained as an architect at UC Berkeley and Harvard GSD and founded Otaat, a minimalist accessories brand featured in The New York Times and Fast Company.

I built the Growth & Retention design team that defined and proved VistaPrint’s vision as a marketing solutions platform for small businesses. The team increased multi-product purchases by 23%, established a key pillar of company-wide product strategy, and pioneered VistaPrint’s empowered product team model.
I led globally distributed teams scaling VistaPrint’s lower-funnel e-commerce experiences across 19 million annual orders. We improved purchase and post-purchase experiences, decreased cart abandonment by 1.5% and order rejections by 26%, and consistently reported high job satisfaction.
As a founding designer, I helped bring Amazon’s first no-code app-building productivity platform to market. We launched Honeycode from scratch and evolved its product paradigm to support collaboration for business users.
I created Otaat, a minimalist and whimsical brand of accessories, objects, and party hats. It gave me the opportunity to explore entrepreneurship and build a small business featured in The New York Times, Fast Company, Elle, and stores internationally.
